This project began as a creative exploration of the number 2, the letter X, and the colour red. While early experiments focused on literal interpretations, the concept evolved when I developed an original story that reimagined these elements in a more symbolic and meaningful way.
Set in a world where letters and shapes live separately, the narrative follows Mr X, the first letter ever elected to office. I wrote and illustrated the story to explore themes of identity, division, and unity through playful visuals and accessible storytelling. The book uses humour and simple metaphors to reflect on social dynamics, ending with a hopeful message of acceptance and inclusion.
To expand the world, I designed a series of posters inspired by political propaganda, reinforcing the narrative with bold, symbolic imagery. These designs helped bring realism and cohesion to the fictional setting, while continuing to promote the story’s core message.
